2011 Rapid Speedway Championship Banquet!
The 2011 Rapid Speedway Championship Banquet held last Saturday at the Grand Falls Casino Resort was a huge success! We had more people than expected and had over a hundred more attendees from the previous Rapid Speedway Banquet. I am very happy with the way things worked out, and I really hope it set a pace for what's to come for the 2012 racing season. We would like to thank everyone who helped throughout the night including the Grand Falls Casino Resort staff, as well as the vendors who took the time to be part of such an exciting event!
Special thanks to the Hahn Family (Chili Bowl/ASCS Sprint Cars), Keizer Wheels, JP Custom Graphics, Schnee Chassis, BR Speed, S&T Fab Shot, CNC Motorsports, Richard Schulz Photography, and Driver Websites for the appearance and displaying what they had to offer to all of the drivers of Rapid Speedway and more!
JP Custom Graphics had a drawing for a Free Half-Wrap in which Richard Schulz was the victor, Keizer Wheels donated 2 right rear Keizer wheels as well as 2 left rear Keizer wheels to the top 4 in the HRA Sprint Car division, Schnee Chassis donated 3 sets of his aluminum line wrenches, BR Speed gave away (4) $250 dollar certificates towards an engine freshen or rebuild, as well as (4) $25 gift certificates, and multiple shirts and hats for people to sport BR Speed. Rosy's Raceland donated (2) $25 Gift Certificates for each class making a total of $200 in giveaways from Rosy's Raceland, S&T Fab Shop gave away a front nose to the Hobby Stock division and the Stock Car division and topped that off with a certificate for body or interior kit for the B-Modifieds.
Hinchman Racewear out of Indianapolis, Indiana, donated $1200 in certificates to the HRA Sprint Car division and Driver Websites had over $1500 in certificates given out throughout the four classes. Competition Products out of Wisconsin gave away $50 certificates to the B-Modifieds and the Hobby Stock class. To top that off, GPC Race Products out of Springfield, IL donated a 10% off certificate to each of the top ten in the HRA Sprint Car division.
We had nearly 150 door prizes that we gave away throughout the event and we thank every company that helping with that and donating as much as they could. Special thanks to: Billion GMC, 10th Street Auta Wash, Auto Zone, O'Reilly's Auto Parts, Schaeffer's Specialized Lubricants, Sioux Falls Kenworth, Home Depot, Schnee Chassis, Graham Tire North, 3-Wide Media, The Flower Box, MFTS, Sturdevants of Rock Rapids, BR Speed, JP Custom Graphics, Chili Bowl Nationals, and Phil Melmer of MotoImagery for taking photos throughout the banquet.
Congratulations to Dan Strandburg for winning the Max Henry Sportsman of the Year Award and Neal Matuska for nailing down the Rookie of the Year Honors!

Congratulations to Zach Olivier for winning 2 (5-day) 26th Annual Speedway Motors Chili Bowl National Tickets!
It was a banquet that people will remember and talk about for months to come, and it was a very exciting time for Rapid Speedway. We will announce new things throughout the off-season, but mainly we want you to enjoy this off-season, and just be ready for the highly anticipated 2012 season at Rapid Speedway!
