Season Opener!
This Friday, May 15 we will finally have our 2020 season opener! We will have our weekly racing series of Sportsmans, USRA Hobbys, USRA B-Mods & USRA Stock Cars! Since we are not allowed to have fans in the stands, this event will only be available through online pay-per-view with our partners Advantage Racing. You can find the event at https://advantageracing.tv/videos/6952
We ask that all drivers enter the fairgrounds from the main entrance at 5th Ave & Tama St. Registration will take place at the track office under the VIP (this is where fans usually get their tickets & drivers pick-up their checks at the end of the night). Each car will be limited to 10 people and pit crew members will have to identify which car they are a part of so we will keep track to make sure no one pit stall has more than 10 people. Cost of a pit pass will be $30 and you must be 12 years or older to enter the pits. We will use every other pit stall to make sure that we are keeping an appropriate distance between cars which means that we will utilize the outside pit areas more than we have previously. Those that have reserved a pit stall outside will be pitting outside but it might not be exactly where you were on the map. To get everyone in and spaced apart we will need more space. Those of you on the infield we will have a similar problem, we will work though it. The pit gate will open at 4:00 PM with driver registration cutoff at 6:30 PM, no exceptions. Hot laps will start at 7:00 with racing to follow.
Please make sure you have your USRA license paid for ahead of time since we are not allowed to sell full licenses at the track. You can purchase the USRA licence at https://www.myracepass.com/sanctions/1003/registrations/2347. We also need a new W-9 for this season so if you haven't given one to us at a Test N Tune, please have one filled out before you get to the track on Friday. You can find them here: http://www.rockrapidsspeedway.com/downloads/get.aspx?i=199427.
This will be a new experience for us so please have patience with all the track officials. We all want to have a great racing season but also want everyone to be save!
