MSTS 360s ready for blockbuster 2021 season

The Property Solutions of America Midwest Sprint Touring Series is ready to begin the 2021 racing season – a year that promises to be exciting for teams, drivers and fans. The tour is scheduled to compete 23 nights on the year across four states.

“We really have a schedule we can be proud of,” said Dale Furby, series director for MSTS. “We worked really hard with all of the area tracks and promotors to avoid conflicts with events so it can be the best season possible for all of our teams and fans. Our MSTS teams really take care of our series, and we are doing our best to take care of those teams, our supporters and the sprint car fans of the Upper Midwest.”

The season begins with the traditional early trip to the southeast tip of South Dakota to the Park Jefferson Speedway for the South Dakota Sprint Car Nationals. The April 9 – 10 event will feature two complete nights of action for the MSTS sprint cars. As an added treat, the RepairableVehicles.com Tri-State Late Models are on hand both nights plus IMCA modifieds and stock cars. Tickets are now available at ParkJeff.com.

Racing resumes on the MSTS circuit in May when the tour will visit three staples for the first time on the season. On May 21, it is a Friday night rumble in Rock Rapids. The following weekend is a double-header of racing with May 28 at Jackson Motorplex and the following night at I-90 Speedway. The Midwest Power Series will join MSTS for the Jackson and I-90 events.

MSTS will hitch up the wagons and head west to begin the month of June. A two-night trip will take the series to Wagner Speedway and Off Road Speedway on June 4 and June 5, respectively. These two tracks are both banked high with tight turns that have produced some of the best racing in recent MSTS history. This will also be the first time that MSTS will be the headlining series at Off Road Speedway near Norfolk, Nebraska, where Brant O’Banion took his first career MSTS win at the series’ one stop at the track in 2020.

A pair of nights with the Midwest Power Series will ignite the mid part of June with stops at Jackson and I-90 Speedway on June 11 and June 12 before MSTS and the Power Series race to Rock Rapids on June 18. The following night, MSTS drivers are invited to travel to the Ogilvie Raceway in Ogilvie, Minnesota. The Davey Tabor Memorial at Ogilvie will be sanctioned by the Power Series and a non-points even for MSTS.

July will start with a bang with racing at I-90 Speedway on July 3. MSTS will again team up with the Power Series for the July 16 event at the Jackson Motorplex and then travels back to I-90 Speedway on July 17.

The busy month continues with Tuesday night action on July 20 with the always-popular Lyon County Fair races at Rapid Speedway.

July concludes with another pair of events teamed with the Power Series. The Chuck Zitterich Memorial Weekend will have events at two tracks that Chuck was heavily involved with – July 30 at Jackson Motorplex and July 31 at I-90 Speedway.

For August, MSTS travels back to Off Road Speedway for a one-night stand on August 21. Teams will then begin to prepare for a very busy conclusion of the season.

The Power Series Nationals will feature four consecutive nights of action over Labor Day Weekends across two different tracks. The event begins September 3-4 at Jackson Motorplex and then travels to Huset’s Speedway for September 5-6. The championship event of the weekend will pay $10,000 to win at Huset’s Speedway.

The season concludes at Rapid Speedway on September 18. The MSTS sprint cars headline the popular Rapid Nationals.
